The Federal Trade Commission has issued a warning regarding ads that claim you are qualified to receive a “free grant” -- for $12,500 or some other amout -- to pay for education costs, home repairs, home business expenses, or unpaid bills. The FTC says "'money for nothing' grant offers usually are scams, whether you see them in your local paper or a national magazine, or hear about them on the phone."
